METAFORA DALAM UNGKAPAN BETAWI

Abstrak

This paper aims to describe metaphors, especially metaphors related to animal phrases contained in Betawi. Methods used in this paper is a descriptive analytical. This article is the data source Phrase Dictionary and Betawi Proverb. In this paper found that the metaphors in Betawi expression that contains elements of the animal may be similarities and comparisons. Use of animal metaphors in the expressions based on the nature, intentions, and behavior of the animals. Metaphor. Based on the animal that is used as a metaphor in Betawi expression can be grouped into three, namely animals commonly used as an expression that contains advice, which describe the actions, behavior, circumstances, and the nature of the good, and the star which is used as an expression to describe the behavior, actions, circumstances, the nature of which is not good.
